I’ve started to illustrate again, mainly for greetings cards at the moment, I have discovered the joys of hand drawn typography using a brush pen, which is great getting inky fingers rather than using digital.

Gift books and coffee table books are great fun to design, the brief to make them as bright and colourful as possible allows a  creative freedom which is a bit of a rarity.

Welcome to my site/blog, I’m a freelance graphic designer who has worked in publishing for a good majority of my design career, predominantly consumer magazine publishing and then moving on to become a creative director for customer communications and customer publishing. Working with some high profile clients enabled me to diversify and produce a variety of marketing support; including exhibition design, packaging and in-store promotional goods.

I began my career as a commercial and advertising photographer and shot Catalogue work, magazine shoots, location and room sets, specialising in interiors.

Recently I relocated from London to the beautiful rural countryside in Somerset, where I have included book design into my repertoire.
